Position: Company Secretary

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), one of Pakistan’s leading public sector entities, is seeking a competent and dynamic professional to join our senior management team. We specialize in the transmission and distribution of natural gas across Balochistan and Sindh and are on a path of transformation, driven by a culture of excellence, teamwork, openness, and meritocracy.

About the Position:
As the Company Secretary, you will be responsible for ensuring that Board procedures are followed and all relevant laws, rules, regulations, and best practices are adhered to. You will support the Board of Directors and Board Committees in implementing decisions, managing agendas, working papers, recording, communication, and follow-up with stakeholders. Your role will also include ensuring compliance with corporate laws, statutory requirements, and handling shareholder matters, as well as the publication and circulation of the company’s quarterly and annual accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate laws and statutory requirements.
  • Support the Board and Committees in effective decision-making processes.
  • Manage the circulation of agendas and working papers for Board meetings.
  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders and ensure follow-up on action points.
  • Handle all shareholder-related matters and circulate quarterly and annual financial reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Member of a recognized body of professional accountants, corporate or chartered secretaries, or a Master’s degree in business administration, commerce, or law (from a Higher Education Commission-recognized university).
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience (post-qualification/membership), with at least 7 years in a similar role as Company Secretary.
  • Candidates must meet the “fit and proper criteria” under the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023.

Age Limit: Maximum 57 years.

Contract Duration: 3 years (renewable based on performance and company requirements).
